I used to daydream about someday having our own home and how fun it would be to decorate for Christmas. It’s as special as I had hoped it would be! Making it cozy and welcoming for Christmas has been so much fun.
Ty and I put up our tree & decorated it before Thanksgiving. I had been collecting ornaments for over a year so I was eager to finally see them on our tree! I’ve gotten most of them from Pottery Barn, Anthropologie & Michael’s. I wanted to keep it simple with shades of silver & gold. I am SO happy with how it turned out. My mom and aunt came over this past week to help me finish decorating the living/dining area. Their help was exactly what I needed to complete this space!
I found my greenery at Trader Joe’s and I am obsessed- ended up going back for more! I wasn’t going to do real greenery because of the maintenance but I couldn’t resist. I spray water on it every 1-2 days to keep it fresh! The garland on the fireplace is from Target (hearth & hand). I searched for what seemed like weeks for the perfect garland but the one I loved from terrain was sold out. Then I found this one from Target and RAN to snag it. I went to 2 different Targets until I could get it- worth it!
I found the stockings at Target as well and I love them! They look like they could be from Pottery Barn! And of course, Minnie gets her own bone-shaped stocking thanks to my mom! Cannot wait to fill it with goodies for her! Lastly- we need to give the Anthropologie mirror the glory it deserves. Such a beautiful statement piece & adding a wreathe for Christmas gives it such a pretty touch! Couldn’t recommend this mirror enough!
